Standard Kettle with 2" Tri-Clamp fitting and Diffuser Plate

The diffuser plate helps in a couple of ways. First it helps not to get hot spots on the bottom of your kettle during the initial heat up. Second it will protect the bottom of the kettle from direct flame if using propane as a heat source. It does get loud during the initial heat up but will calm down when you get to your desired temperature. 

I have owned this kettle for over a year and using it along with the diffuser plate has always given me an even performance during all of my runs.
