Digital cooking thermometer 0-120C. Food grade, can be used in fermentations, fruit mashes, mash etc.

NOTE:  Do not fully immerse probe.

As with all probe-type digital thermometers, if moisture enters the probe it will cause permanent incorrect readings.

on 12/27/2008 		Buy a Lab Grade Thermometer instead!
Grossly inaccurate! It read over 10 degrees C high in the temperature range where I needed it. It was compared to a lab grade unit and an infrared thermometer. The latter two were spot on at 43 C while it read 59 C! I live at an altitude of approx. 2,300 ft. and when testing the boiling temperature of very hard water got a reading of 106 degrees C. Not recommended! Brewhaus sells a really accurate glass thermometer from Germany that you should consider buying instead.

Directions are in another language, not hard to figure out, BUT the second time in use on a beer mash it won't read below 63 Celsius even in cold water. Right now it reads 69 and is dry on the counter.

it does its thing. a little confusing to use though. doesnt come with any english directions. and as far as i can tell, it has no way of being turned on/off without removing the battery.
