Description 

Our Wireless Digital Thermometer is very well built, with an active range of 100 feet, and an accuracy of +/- 1 degree.  Excellent for keeping an eye on temperatures while relaxing in another room.  This thermometer is also fantastic for grilling or smoking!

 

Temperature range- -10 to 250C / 14 to 482F

NOTE:  Do not fully immerse probe.

As with all probe-type digital thermometers, if moisture enters the probe it will cause permanent incorrect readings.

 It allows you to be in another room while in use and you don't have to babysit during the initial heating. It's also great to use for monitoring a beer mash.

The Good:  Very convenient to have a wireless thermometer, with a surprisingly good range. I like the ability to set an alarm at different temperatures. 

The Bad:  Like a lot of cheap electronic devices, it won't work with NiMH rechargeable AA batteries. My unit was 4 degrees off at boiling. There is no way to adjust the calibration.

Overall:  I'll use it until I find something else.

Note: Many electronic items will not work correctly with NiMH batteries, as they offer 20% lower voltage than the device requires.

I've only used it once and so far it worked great. I first check its accuracy by boiling water and checking the temp and was only a degree off. It has great range never did loose the signal.
